Description Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough is seeking Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team and help meet our weekend staffing needs. $24.75 per hour starting wage +$4.00 evening differential +$5.00 night differential +$2.50 weekend differential — stacked This is a great opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for flexible per diem work while making a meaningful difference in the lives of Maine’s Veterans and their families. Our per diem CNAs help provide coverage for weekends, holidays, and time-off requests. At Maine Veterans’ Homes – Scarborough, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals and paraprofessionals to provide premier care for Maine’s Veterans and their families. If you’re new to healthcare, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from the best, while seasoned professionals can hone their skills with a caring and supportive team. About the Role The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an essential member of the nursing team who provides residents with daily nursing care in accordance with each resident’s assessment and Plan of Care. Review care plans and provide care accordingly Identify and honor resident choices in activities of daily living while maintaining resident safety Communicate with care staff at all levels to adequately meet the needs of residents Per Diem Requirements Work an average of 8 hours per two-week pay period Work a minimum of 16 weekend hours per month Weekend availability is required Requirements Must be active and in good standing on the Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Registry Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
