We are currently hiring for a dynamic and experienced Watch Officer. Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance The NOC Watch Officer is responsible for the continuous, 24/7/365 monitoring and operational availability of the enterprise network. Working directly on the operations watch floor, you will serve as the primary line of defense in maintaining comprehensive situational awareness, detecting network outages, and orchestrating rapid responses to high-priority incidents. This role requires close coordination with cybersecurity teams, field engineers, and senior leadership to ensure uninterrupted mission capability. Role Overview As the IT Specialist III, you will regulate the operation and installation of network systems, architecture, and topology. You will monitor networks, troubleshoot, and analyze performance. When issues arise, you will demonstrate the ability to identify and isolate issues, minimizing network outages, degradation, latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues. General Skillset Experience with Microsoft Office Verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both collaboratively and individually Critical Thinking Skills Specific Duties Monitor the operational status of the enterprise network services and systems Receive and track network outages, incidents, and significant events Maintain situational awareness for the operations center/watch floor Coordinate with network operations, cybersecurity, service desk, field teams and stakeholders Escalate significant incidents to the technical teams and leadership Track incidents through resolution and ensure proper documentation Prepare shift turnover reports, daily operational summaries, and incident reports Participate in incident bridges or conference calls during major outages Monitor trouble tickets Requirements Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Security+ Certification Experience Requirements 7+ years of relevant IT experience Experience in a NOC, SOC, help desk, command center, or DoD watch environment Build Your Career With Us Linchpin Solutions’ professional services organization is committed to delivering qualified candidates that meet or exceed clients’ technical and management expectations.
