About Stark Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. Headquartered in Barcelona and growing fast (77% year-on-year), our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. The Role We are building a new purchasing team in Chennai, India, close to one of the strongest automotive supply bases in the world. We are looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer to source high-performance mechanical parts, vehicle components and technical assemblies, hitting demanding cost, quality and delivery targets. You will report to the Mechanical Purchasing Manager and work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain across our global sites. Open to All Levels We are hiring at Buyer and Senior Buyer level. As a guide, Buyers bring 3+ years of sourcing experience, and Senior Buyers 7+ years with ownership of a commodity, supplier portfolio or major negotiations. What You’ll Do Identify, qualify and develop Indian and regional manufacturers for mechanical components and subassemblies Own RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and make sure NDAs and Master Purchase Agreements are in place Lead price negotiations and drive continual cost reduction and supplier consolidation Reduce lead times for critical parts and keep stock low without ever running out Manage supplier relationships, performance and dispute resolution Track market conditions and technology roadmaps to spot risks and opportunities Lead vendor selection with Engineering, following our Lean and Just-in-Time approach Travel when needed, including supplier visits and international trips What You Will Bring 3+ years of sourcing in automotive, two-wheeler or high-performance machinery (7+ for Senior Buyer) Strong knowledge of the Indian mechanical supplier landscape (Tier 1 and Tier 2) Analytical, organised and data-driven, with strong negotiation and influencing skills Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-growing environment Passion for sustainability Degree in engineering or business administration Fluent English is a must Why Work With Us?
