About Stark Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. Headquartered in Barcelona and growing fast (77% year-on-year), our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. The Role We are building a new purchasing team in Chennai, India, and are looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer for electronic components. This is a strategic role that needs a real understanding of the global electronics ecosystem: navigating semiconductor cycles, managing relationships with top-tier manufacturers, and spotting technical opportunities in our designs. You will report to the Electronics & Electromechanics Purchasing Manager and act as the bridge between Engineering and the market. Open to All Levels We are hiring at Buyer and Senior Buyer level. As a guide, Buyers bring 3+ years of sourcing experience, and Senior Buyers 7+ years with ownership of a commodity, supplier portfolio or major negotiations. What You’ll Do Navigate the global and Indian EMS, component manufacturer and distributor landscape to secure the best partners Be the internal expert on semiconductor trends, memory market volatility and supply/demand shifts Review designs and BOMs to find alternative components (pin-to-pin or functional equivalents) with better lead times or cost Build strong relationships with major component manufacturers and global distributors Run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and negotiate Master Purchase Agreements that protect our agility Drive cost reduction and total-cost-of-ownership models without compromising technical integrity Support Engineering early in design to ensure design-for-availability What You Will Bring 3+ years of sourcing electronic components and assemblies, ideally in automotive or two-wheelers (7+ for Senior Buyer) An electronics engineering or technical degree, or strong electronics manufacturing experience Knowledge of global semiconductor players (TI, ST, NXP, Analog Devices, Rohm, Infineon, Murata and others) and distribution Ability to read a schematic or BOM and spot diversification or optimisation opportunities Strong negotiation skills, from NRE costs to volume rebates and buffer stock agreements Fluent English is a must Why Work With Us?
