About Stark Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. Headquartered in Barcelona and growing fast (77% year-on-year), our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. The Role Electromechanical parts sit where the mechanics and electronics of our motorcycles meet: motors, actuators, wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, sensors, lighting and charging hardware. We are building a new purchasing team in Chennai, India, and are looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer to own sourcing for these commodities. You will report to the Electronics & Electromechanics Purchasing Manager and work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain across our global sites. Open to All Levels We are hiring at Buyer and Senior Buyer level. As a guide, Buyers bring 3+ years of sourcing experience, and Senior Buyers 7+ years with ownership of a commodity, supplier portfolio or major negotiations. What You’ll Do Identify, qualify and develop Indian and global manufacturers for motors, actuators, harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, sensors, lighting and charging hardware Run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and make sure NDAs and Master Purchase Agreements are in place Build should-cost and total-cost-of-ownership models and lead negotiations to drive continuous cost reduction Cut lead times on critical parts, keep stock low without running out, and dual source where risk demands it Support Engineering early in design to choose manufacturable, available parts and qualify alternatives Manage supplier performance, quality issues and disputes with Quality and Supply Chain Track raw material (copper, magnets, plastics) and component markets, technology roadmaps and supply risks What You Will Bring 3+ years of sourcing electromechanical components in automotive, two-wheeler, e-mobility or similar industries (7+ for Senior Buyer) Comfortable reading drawings, specifications and BOMs, and discussing materials, processes and tolerances with engineers Knowledge of the Indian and global supplier base for harnesses, connectors, motors and sensors A strong, data-driven negotiator who is organised and results-oriented Passion for sustainability, and a degree in engineering or business administration Fluent English is a must Why Work With Us?
