Registered Veterinary Technician Heidt Veterinary Hospital located in Lima, Ohio is actively seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic, feel comfortable working up rooms and taking histories, embrace client education, have the skill set of placing IV catheters, ability to draw blood and run in-house lab equipment, enjoy working with other technicians and the veterinarians for the top level care of our patients. If you are a Registered Veterinary Technician looking for a new clinic to utilize your skill set and enjoy working with a great team then we would be interested in hearing from you. Qualifications Veterinary Technician License current in Ohio Experience in a clinical setting is a must Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
