Our technology, operations and financial services capabilities underpin some of the world’s leading financial institutions, helping make wealth management more accessible to more people. We’re looking for a CASS Reconciliations Officer to join our CASS Office, playing an important role in safeguarding client assets and ensuring our client money processes and controls operate effectively. The Opportunity As a CASS Reconciliations Officer, you’ll be responsible for the production of daily Internal Client Money Reconciliations, alongside supporting external reconciliations and maintaining the key controls that underpin the protection of client money. This is a hands-on analytical role where you’ll investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes and work across FNZ to resolve issues and strengthen our controls. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Operations, Finance, Treasury, Custody and Transfer Agency, while also supporting regulatory change, audit activity and continuous improvement. For someone with a strong understanding of FCA CASS 7 and experience within a platform, investment or wealth management environment, this is an opportunity to develop broader exposure to client asset oversight within a global FinTech business. Key Responsibilities Produce and review daily Internal Client Money Reconciliations accurately and within agreed deadlines. Prepare, reconcile and evidence key control accounts supporting client money, including client money creditors and adjustments, suspense accounts, interest and fees. Investigate reconciliation breaks and data-quality issues, completing root-cause analysis and driving issues through to resolution. Identify and escalate exceptions presenting potential regulatory or financial risk. Operate maker-checker controls, completeness and accuracy checks, and effective exception management across reconciliation processes. Challenge existing internal and external processes to strengthen controls, improve efficiency and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practice. Produce and interpret management information and metrics, providing clear commentary around trends, exceptions and remediation. Maintain accurate procedures and desk instructions, ensuring appropriate evidence and documentation is retained to support the CASS Resolution Pack. Support internal and external audit activity, including providing control evidence, samples and process walkthroughs. Contribute to change initiatives impacting client money flows, reconciliations and associated controls. Work collaboratively across platform, Operations, Finance, Custody and Transfer Agency teams to maintain effective end-to-end client money controls. Keep up to date with changes to FCA CASS requirements and support their implementation into operational processes and controls. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail and practical experience of client money or CASS-related operations. Ideally, you’ll bring: A strong understanding of FCA CASS 7 and how client money rules apply within an operational environment. Previous experience within a wealth management, investment platform, financial services or regulated operations environment. Experience producing, reviewing or investigating client money reconciliations. Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex breaks and identify root causes. Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including lookups, pivot tables and ideally Power Query, with confidence working with large datasets from multiple sources. Knowledge of UK investment products and financial markets. The ability to interpret complex regulatory or operational information and communicate it clearly to different audiences, including senior stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across multiple business areas. Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing requirements and deliver accurately against tight deadlines. A proactive and decisive approach, including the judgement to escalate issues appropriately. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team. A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing business and regulatory requirements. Experience with FNZ Platform, T-Rex, FNZ Glass, Accurate/Acurate, SSRS, Navision, Ruleguard or similar reconciliation, reporting and compliance systems would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
