Site: www.ptcbio.com Job Description Summary: Job Description: LOCATION : Sao Paulo, Brazil Th e Contractor, Accounting Analyst contributes to the day-to-day accounting activities associated with internal and external financial reporting. Reporting to the Assoc. Manager Accounting LATAM, the Accounting Analyst will support LATAM region. The incumbent works cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on accounting related issues. The Accounting analyst supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Support on preparing the financial reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) • Prepare general accounting journal entries. • Prepares and maintains balance sheet reconciliations, accounting controls as provisions, GAAP differences etc • Payroll accounting review • Support the accounting and tax closing process for the LATAM region • Analyze variances in expenses, costs, and sales, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement • Coordinate activities performed by local outsourced accounting firms, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to deadlines • Monitor and review accounting reconciliations prepared by third parties • Support external and internal audits, including preparing documentation, addressing requests, and implementing action plans • Participate in projects focused on process improvement, activity automation, and strengthening internal controls REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • Experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit or Controllership functions, preferably within a multinational environment. • Self-motivated and self-driven, possessing excellent project management skills and superior attention to detail. • Languages: must be able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written). Spanish is a plus. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members. • Hands on profile and committed with deadlines with a huge sense of urgency. • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills include the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects. • Demonstrated ability to lead discussions with external auditors, consultants and outsourced accounting providers.
