ROCKWOOL is seeking a Software Engineer PLC/Siemens to join our Byhalia manufacturing team in Byhalia, MS. In this role, you will help keep PLC, SCADA, and industrial network systems reliable in a continuous manufacturing environment, supporting safe production, equipment uptime, and waste reduction while contributing to ROCKWOOL's mission of creating a more sustainable future. Relocation is available. ** We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position. ** This position is onsite Monday through Friday from 8a – 5p, with direct responsibility for Siemens S7, WinCC, and other site-critical digital systems. About the Team You’ll work on-site at our Byhalia, MS facility, supporting digital and automation systems across production operations. This role works closely with Maintenance and Production to keep equipment, software, and networks running safely and reliably. It also supports site communication and coordination for digital systems. What You'll Do · Maintain Siemens S7 PLC and WinCC software to keep production systems safe, stable, and available. · Support access control, video surveillance, mobile phone network, and server systems used across the site. · Monitor machine and equipment performance to improve uptime and reduce waste. · Analyze equipment and process issues with Maintenance and Production and put technical fixes in place. · Record equipment defects and follow through with Maintenance until issues are resolved. · Support repairs, software updates, and system changes so production can continue reliably. · Develop and update software, routines, tools, and training materials for operators and maintenance teams. · Assist with training for new operators and maintenance personnel on systems and standard ways of working. What You’ll Bring · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. · 3+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, PLC, SCADA, or manufacturing software systems. · Experience programming Siemens S7 PLCs. · Experience working with WinCC SCADA systems. · Experience with industrial Ethernet networks. · Knowledge of safety systems and functional safety principles. · Experience with servo drives and frequency inverters, including Lenze, Siemens, ABB, and Danfoss systems. · Experience working with automated systems, robotics, and conveyors. · Understanding of process control and sequential processes in manufacturing . Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity and market data.
