About the role: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our business advisory team based in our beautiful offices in the heart of the Sydney's CBD. This is a great opportunity to take ownership, working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering tailored accounting, taxation and business advisory solutions. At RSM, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values integrity, quality, and continuous growth, with clear pathways to progress your career. In this role, you will: Prepare clear, accurate, and well-documented working papers to support all work performed. Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and operating environments to provide informed advice and support. Mentor and support graduates and junior team members, contributing to their professional development. Prepare financial statements in accordance with current accounting standards, legislative requirements, and reporting obligations. Assist in the preparation of client meeting materials and support Partners in client engagements. Identify, research, and assist in resolving complex accounting and taxation matters. Prepare and analyse management accounting reports, providing meaningful insights to clients. Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals. Provide advice across a range of taxation matters, including GST, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). Deliver general business advisory services and practical support to a broad range of clients. About you: You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with excellent communication skills, can work both independently and collaboratively, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Fluent in preparation of Financial Statements using Xero software Committed to continuing professional development Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major On a pathway to completion of Chartered Tax Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant studies Ability to use accounting software including: Xero MYOB Quickbooks Agrimaster Figured CashPeek Commitment to work in an open plan layout Focus on productivity and continuous improvement in processes Life at RSM: RSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
