Why layout decides whether you are read
Most resumes that never get a reply were never rejected by a person. They were parsed into the wrong fields — a two-column layout read across instead of down, experience buried in a text box, a header the parser dropped — and the recruiter saw a record with gaps that were never in the resume. The builder avoids those constructs rather than fixing them afterwards.
